About Daniel

Daniel has lived a life of music, as a performer, a conductor, but mostly as an educator. Daniel retired from a career as a high school music teacher in 2019, including 18 years at Bear Creek Secondary School in south Barrie.

A longtime member of Northwest Barrie United Church, he is thrilled to step into the role of Choir Director. Working with Chris, the staff and volunteers to prepare music for worship is a highlight of each week.

Away from the church you will usually find Daniel outside: around his property in the country, on the road camping or at the cottage. All of this is made better by sharing it with his wife, Ann and three children.  Remember: a bad day outside is still better than a good day inside.
